M.Ed.,Reg. MBACP (Accred)
Counsellor – for Adults (Individuals, Couples and Family Relationships)
I’ve been working for over 12 years as a counsellor for people of all ages. I am an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My initial training was in couples counselling with Relate. I then completed a Masters degree in Couples and Family Therapy in the USA, and worked for many years in community mental health. I have also worked with students in schools and higher education settings and couples/families in private practice. Please see my website for more information about my approach to counselling.
I have additional training in art therapy skills, grief recovery, and Circle of Security Parenting. Please ask if you have questions about any of my training and experience. I use an integrative approach to counselling, meaning that I draw from various theoretical models. This allows me to tailor the therapy to your specific needs. What is most important to me is that you get what you need from your counselling.
I love my work and feel privileged to support clients in making positive changes. Clients have described me as warm, friendly and approachable. As part of my professional and ethical responsibility, I am committed to ongoing training, regular supervision (a requirement for BACP members), and practising good self-care.
Issues I can help with include:
- relationship difficulties
- parenting support
- work stress
- gender identity
- trauma recovery
- technology fatigue
- feeling stuck
- carer support
- coping with illness
and many more…
