I was educated at King Edward VII School at Broomhill, Sheffield before obtaining his Under Graduate Degree at the University of Reading, he is a Chartered Surveyor turned Sports Massage Therapist.

I have always been interested in Sport having played football for my school and university. I have long had an interest in martial arts; I have a black sash in kickboxing and am a 3rd kyu at Shotokan Karate. I have also practiced Judo and Japanese Jui Jitsu. In fact a number of years ago I was thrown at Jui Jitsu in a grading which resulted in a dislocation and fracture of my shoulder.

I was out of action from sport for in the order of 6 months and the physiotherapy to get my range of movement and strength back was intense but I knuckled down and made a near 100% recovery. Since that time my interest in musculo- skeletal issues has grown.

I have completed my level 3 and 4 training with Sports Therapy UK and currently part way through their level 5 course.

I set up New Lease Sports Therapy to provide Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy not only to sports people but to anyone who has aches and pains as a result of their working and daily life.

Common issues I see are:-

  • Back Pain
  • SciaticaHamstring
  • StrainsRotator
  • Cuff Problems
  • Shin Splints
  • Sprained Ankle
  • Calf Strains
  • Runners Knee

I also offer Gait Analysis and a Strapping and Taping Service.

I take a person orientated approach to treatment, I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach.

I am a Member of The Sports Massage Association and am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. Particular interests of mine are football, (I am a member of the Football Medical Association) martial arts and running.

Clients include members of the JKS England Karate Team and amateur runners who have represented club and country.

Having previously worked with Peterborough United FC, I am currently working on a part time basis as a Soft Tissue Therapist at Lincoln City Football Club in Sky Bet Football League 2 and covers training sessions and match days.
