Massage | Ortho-bionomy | Feldenkrais | Craniosacral Therapy

I became interested in body work therapies following a period of back pain, when a friend recommended that I try Ortho-Bionomy. It was gentle, non-intrusive and effective and I was soon free of pain. I was so impressed that I decided to train as a practitioner, in both England and Switzerland, becoming a member of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy in 1989.
I had initially trained in massage, gaining my ITEC certificate in 1988 I was later drawn to the Feldenkrais method, which offers complementary techniques and the choice of working with individuals or in groups. I became a certified teacher in 1999. I completed a Craniosacral therapy training in July 2007
An important aspect of all my work is being a good listener. By this I mean observing and sensing through touch, and being present for the whole person. People coming to see me have often tried several other therapies without finding relief. A body being heard can respond by releasing, letting go and relaxing.
I work a lot with old injuries, guiding the body into positions of ease, allowing the individual to let go and find relief and comfort. The ways I work have been designed to develop mind and body in harmony, enabling people to become aware of patterns and allowing them to understand themselves and their bodies better, whilst enhancing the natural healing process.
